The Down's Syndrome Association is the only national charity working exclusively for people with Down's syndrome and their families. The Association has a network of volunteer parent-led branches and groups throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In addition to the work with families, the Association works hard to change attitudes towards people with Down's syndrome. The Association relies on its members to continue its activities - all are welcome to join. Contact the address above for further details.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
