Disability Sport Events aims to provide, develop and co-ordinate sports and recreation opportunities for people with disabilities nationally, in partnership with other relevant agencies. The organisation has the following objectives:
- To provide opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in and enjoy sport and recreation.
- To organise and develop a programme of sports events and championships at a local, regional and national level for people with disabilities.
- To increase awareness of the sporting achievements of people with disabilities amongst the media and the general public.
- To act as an information and advice support service for enquiries concerning all aspects of the provision of sport and recreation for people with disabilities.
