The liver is a vital organ. It fights off infection, makes essential chemicals and filters out poisons. The British Liver Trust is a national organisation devoted to the prevention, treatment and cure of all liver diseases. Its aims are as follows:

  • To publish up-to-date information for patients and services.
  • To support individuals with liver disease and those who care for them within the Charity's resources.
  • To encourage and fund liver disease research within the Charity's resources.

The British Liver Trust has an extensive range of publications on individual liver conditions.
