Cancerbackup is a leading cancer information charity. Its website contains over 4,500 pages of up-to-date cancer information, practical advice and support for cancer patients, their families, carers and friends. It also provides a free telephone helpline with specialist cancer nurses who can give information on any type of cancer or treatment and provide emotional support, practical advice, and details of local support groups and other services for people with cancer. Cancerbackup also provides 8 local walk-in centres across the country and produces 73 patient-friendly booklets and over 300 factsheets that are free to patients.
