The Ataxia-Telangiectasia Society is a support group with the objective to alleviate the suffering that A-T causes. The Society's activities include:
- Funding research.
- Offering help and support to families suffering from A-T.
- National meetings for families.
- Raising awareness of A-T.
- Production of a regular newsletter.
- Welfare grants, as appropriate.
- Distribution of a range of leaflets including: A-T: An Overview available in English, Farsi, Spanish, French, Turkish and Bengali, A-T: Parents' Guide, A-T: Immune Deficiency, A-T: Therapies, A-T: Teachers' Guide, A-T: What is A-T?, A-T: Genetics and Pre-natal Testing..
- A-T national clinic.
- Family support worker.
- Counsellor.
- Fundraising to operate the above activities.
- Handbook for Families and Caregivers.
