The Ataxia-Telangiectasia Society is a support group with the objective to alleviate the suffering that A-T causes. The Society's activities include:

• Funding research.
• Offering help and support to families suffering from A-T.
• National meetings for families.
• Raising awareness of A-T.
• Production of a regular newsletter.
• Welfare grants, as appropriate.
• Distribution of a range of leaflets including: A-T: An Overview available in English, Farsi, Spanish, French, Turkish and Bengali, A-T: Parents' Guide, A-T: Immune Deficiency, A-T: Therapies, A-T: Teachers' Guide, A-T: What is A-T?, A-T: Genetics and Pre-natal Testing..
• Two A-T clinics: one for 16 and over, the other for 15 and below.
• Family support worker.
• Counsellor.
• Fundraising to operate the above activities.
• Handbook for Families and Caregivers.
• Campaigning to improve services for people with A-T.
