Alcohol Concern is a national organisation with the following aims:

  • To raise awareness of the problems alcohol can cause.
  • To improve services for problem drinkers.
  • To promote preventative action.

Alcohol Concern has a comprehensive library and provides leaflets and information. There is a mail order bookshop. The information line is available between 1pm and 5pm on 020 7922 8667 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

People who are concerned about their own or somebody else's drinking should contact drinkline on 0800 917 8282. Drinkline can put callers in touch with an appropriate service. This is not part of Alcohol Concern.
