Acorns Children's Hospice provides short break, emergency and end of life care to life limited and life threatened children and young adults across the heart of England. Acorns has three specialist children's hospices serving the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and parts of Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Acorns three hospices are: Acorns in Birmingham (located in Selly Oak), Acorns in the Black Country (located in Walsall) and Acorns for the Three Counties (located in Worcester). Each hospice is designed as a 'home-from-home' offering a fun, relaxed and comfortable environment, complete with individual bedrooms for the children, communal dining areas, beautiful gardens, hydro-therapy pools and multi-sensory rooms.

Short breaks for children give them and their families a break from the daily routine, and offer a safe environment for the children to stay at one of the hospices and enjoy many activities not available at home.

Acorns also has a Community Team who offer support to the whole family 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including practical and emotional support for parents, special help for siblings and bereavement support for as long as it is needed.

Acorns becomes a lifeline for local families who would face a much tougher challenge coping alone. All of Acorns vital services are completely free of charge to the children and families who need them.

Acorns relies on voluntary donations for the majority of its income.
