The national organisation for specific learning difficulties consisting of over 120 Local Dyslexia Associations and Support Groups.

Aims to help children and teenagers to succeed in both compulsory, further and higher education in the belief that getting extra help should not depend on a parents ability to pay for extra tuition. Makes no charges for any of the services or information provided.

Includes a network of centres for assessment, teaching and training for overcoming dyslexia across the UK.

Patient apple icon (PatientApple.gif) Independent Panel for Special Education Advice (IPSEA)

IPSEA offers free and independent advice on Local Education Authorities' legal duties to assess and provide for children with special educational needs. These include children with physical disabilities, sensory impairment, emotional and behavioural difficulties, general and specific learning difficulties (including those arising from specific conditions such as Down's Syndrome, autism and dyslexia).

A charity that provides a postal audio book library to people throughout the UK who have difficulty holding a book, turning a page or reading in the normal way.
