Department of health report of the findings of the working group set up in 2005. The report sets out the current problems, provides guidance and makes recommendations in a number of areas including commissioning, organisation of care, provision of services and workforce.
Diabetes Monitoring Forum
Run by a group of diabetes healthcare professionals who came together with the aim of helping people with diabetes better understand the role of blood glucose and ketone monitoring in diabetes management. Includes a series of glucose monitoring advice leaflets. Each leaflet is tailored to different treatment regimens and provides patients with clear advice about the'whys' and 'whens' of blood glucose monitoring. The leaflets were developed to help patients monitor their blood glucose appropriately and to use these measurments to improve self-care.
