:D Hi I have been suffering from mouth ulcers for years and at last I have found my cure. The doctor at the Hospital suggested they might be cuased by the SLS in toothpaste and recommended Oraclens to me as it containe dno SLS. Since I started using this toothpaste I have NO ulcers- amazing after 12 years of suffering it would seem that it was my daily tootpaste that was causing them.
Ulcers Cured

I was getting reoccuring ulcers on a weekly basis to the point where it was really starting to upset me. After looking on the net a while ago for some 'cure' I came across this post and a little light went off inside my head. Sodium laureth sulphate is the foaming agent found in shampoos, body wash and the like. I generally use natural soap products as i find the cheap, foamy stuff irritates my scalp and skin but it never occurred to me that it is also in regular toothpaste.
I immediately went to a health food store and bought a 'natural' toothpaste without SLS and from that moment I would say I've had a 90% reduction in breakouts and duration of mouth ulcers....and I can tell you, it feels good!
So firstly thanks a bundle to whomever posted the above..you have quite literally taken a massive chunk of dispair out of my life
Thankyou! It also occurred to me that oral hygiene is often mentioned as a cause of ulcers which prompts all of us to make sure we are brushing our teeth twice a day, using mouthwash etc all in a bid to prevent these things but did you ever notice that it doesn't seem to make a lick of difference? We are just dousing the things is SLS every morning and night and this is what I think makes ulcers last for so long. If I do get an ulcer now I notice it is much less painful (they sting after you brush your teeth right?) and it will be gone in 2 or 3 days now as opposed to weeks.
Soooo go to a health food store and get a herbal/natural toothpaste (always read the ingredients because alot of these even have SLS in them). I've been using a german toothpaste called 'Silicia' which uses sea salt and the mineral silicic acid:
Colgate is well and truly dead to me.
Anyway I hope others mind find some relief in this suggestion, I'd be interested to hear. Good luck y'all!
