Thanks
Something that has been nagging at the mind for 50 years - now 59 and asked GP today whilst getting presriptions for BP etc. Dignosis rheumatic fever.
South African farming community in 1956. Nine years old, knees and six months away from school. Horrible pencil to G nib ink transition whle I was away and ink blotts all allover the page (my excuse for my very bad handwriting) and 3x to 6x tables - no sympath from teachers and I still count mental fingers behind my back for these times tables.
A reocurrence three years later after a rugby game in chest muscles and another 3 months away from school.
My GP and your web site have brought a closure. Will include the detail in the family history that I will pass on to the children.
Kind Regards
Ron Parry
