I had a cystoscopy last week to have a stent - (tube left in to allow drainage of the kidney following stone removal) - taken out. The gel squeezed down my penis was fine. The urologist said that when the cystoscope passed through my prostate it might sting a bit. IT DID! It felt like a red hot knitting needle. It lasted about 5 seconds but it wasn't good, and my language was choice. It stung a bit again as the stend was removed, but not as bad as when the scope went in.
