Stairs-what were molehills!!!!

  1. Thanks for the concern about the stairs!

We are loathe to go down the stairlift route at present as the physio has told him 'USE IT OR LOSE IT!!' so we are all trying to be positive about going up and down.

The youngest grandson is 2 and tells GRANDAD do it like this!!! on all

fours and when you think about it that is probably the best way to go up.

I'm feeling a lot more positive about the future now so if anyone needs a little bit of help with this awful illness or is just needing to talk to someone who has /is going through it then I'm your gal.

  2. Hi Dougal,

I can understand that. Consultants and physios like to you exercise as much as possible and stairs are a good way. Hopefully as he progresses the stairs will get easier and easier. I can remember times when my breathing has been so bad that I had to go up the stairs on my bottom. Pushing with my hands to lift myself to the next stair.

You are right, it certainly does help to have someone to talk to who has had the same experience.

    Tessa
