I was prescribed this drug for pain management and to control severe period bleeding. It was excellent at that but it seriously agrevated my asthma and had a negative impact on my breathing. It does refer to this in the contra-indications but its important that people realise this is a potential side effect if you are asthmatic as the GP didn't mention it to me so that I was 'watching' for this potential consequence (despite knowing of my asthma) when prescribing it. I've had to stop taking it which is a pity because it is so good at pain and bleeding management, but it can severly affect your breathing particularly if you have existing problems in this area.
Significantly increased breathing probs: Mefenamic Acid

I had this kind of problem too, i only have an inhaler for when doing sports but the first time i started taking them i went into a mini almost ashtma attack and i couldn't breath for about 10 minutes and had to use my inhaler, but even still after it gave my breath back i had a strange pain across my stomach and i couldn't stand up
