I checked the side effects of this drug on his website. I was amazed to see that many people have had the same experience as I have had. I also take lisiniprol. I decided to come off, although my gp did not want me to but is willing to see how things go for a couple of weeks. well, within two days (this is now the 4th day I have been off this tablet) my health has changed considerably. My pains have subsided a lot, I have slept for two nights (before I was lucky to get 3/4 hrs sleep) was always fatigued. Mainly my brain seems to be much better. I went to a meeting saturday (I am a volunteer advising carers) and I actually remembered the names of the people I was talking to and still can remember. I cannot believe it. Before, during a conversation with someone, I always had to stop them and ask what I was discussing, even over the dinner table I had to keep asking people what I had just said. I think doctor's are reluctant to hear these side effects (even though most printed on instructions in box). I will keep you informed of how I am getting on as I have had a considerable weight gain and I am now waiting for a miracle to lose weight!!
side effects of amlodipine

It is such a relief to find that I have not been imagining all the bad symptoms I developed on Amlodipine. The doctor was so angry when I told him I had come off it as it made me feel so dreadful, but really my quality of life had deteriorated to such an extent that I just had to give it up. My blood pressure is not really so very high now - around 157/90, and I am going to investigate less drastic ways of keeping it down to a reasonable level. Has anyone found a drug that has fewer side effects? I do take propanolol without any bother.
