Side affects from steriods

   My son as been taking prednisolone since he was 18 months old until he was around14,tablet form and also through a drip ,he is now 19 and started having stomach problems could this be connected

   Why was he on Prednisolone?

   Long term Steroid use can cause Stomach problems, he may benefit from the use of a medication to help protect his Stomach, he needs to talk to his GP about it

   I've been on them for 18 years and have always had the enteric coated ones to protect my stomach. Does he take these? they are coated to protect stomach. Dont think they prescribe unless you ask as they cost the nhs more. I demand them! x
