seasonal eczema?

  1. I was diagnosed with psoriasis at the age of 12, after 18 years of wondering what triggered outbreaks I bought a cat - my skin had been clear, but within a week I was covered in itchy red flaky patches of skin. Much to my daughters' distress after a couple of months I gave the cat to a neighbour, within a few weeks I was fine again, until the following May. Ever since then I have had an outbreak around this time of year. It coincides with the exact time that hayfever sufferers are complaining the most yet my GP still persists that it was nothing to do with the cat, nothing to do with pollen and is stress related. Can anyone back me up here? (I'm itching immensely at the moment, apologies if I sound moody :D )

  2. Hi Koko

This will sound silly but it does work!

Fill a sieve with porridge oats, run the bath while holding the sieve under the hot water tap. Then soak yourself in the bath. Don't use any soap or anything. AND don't put the porridge oats straight into the bath like I did the first time I heard about it - will teach me not to listen properly  Daughter aged 3 at the time loved it though :D I didn't enjoy cleaning the bath out after

Good luck and let us know how it goes for you.

    love

    Melbi x
