Ramipril concerns

  1. A phone call from my G.P.changed my medication from Atenolol to Rampril and two weeks later my b p was up.Another phone call doubled my dosage and I began to check my b p with a cheap moniter to discover high b p and an irregular heart beat. This was confirmed by my G.P.who put me back on Atenolol.I now attend a cardiac clinic at the local hospital, will be on Warfarin soon, and will join the list for cardioversion. Not overly happy.

  2. I suffered from \"af\" irregular heart beat for 6 years .It went from intermittent to all the time . For the last 3/4 weeks before the cardioversion my pluse was constantly in the range 150-165 bpm. Fortunately the Cardioversion worked ok. Out of 4 that day only 2 of us got a good result. The good news is that it might work for the other 2 next time or the one after. It is also likely to revert in which case another cardioversion is required.

Since having it 6 months ago I no longer feel washed out and feel much better able to participate in physical activities. The occasional dizziness has gone also.

If on warfarin you may get to feel the cold more
