Perimenopausal

  1. Hi, I am new to this but desperate to speak to anyone who is going through similar issues. I have in the last year started experiencing extreme mood swings, feeling totally useless and unable to do anything right and making mistakes constantly. Checking everything I do at work at least two times because I don't trust myself any more. I am perimenopausal and whilst experiencing hot flushes and restless nights (these I can cope with at the moment), what I am finding difficult is the extreme mood swings. My doctor has put me on Mirtazapine tablets and not sure if they are helping as much as could be - any advice? Some times I feel ok and able to cope and others, well still extremely weepy, useless etc. Not as patient as I used to be and feel like nothing to look forward to at the moment, no motivation, when usually have goals and objectives. Feeling positive very difficult at mo, although trying it really feels like an awful effort these days.
