Hello - I've just been diagnosed with a cyst on my ovary. Been having abdonimal discomfort for some time which was dismissed by GPs as being IBS. Paid for a private scan that eventually showed this condition.

Consultant says it's not cancerous (have had tumour blood checks) but am really worried. My grandmother died from ovarian cancer; and my mother had colon cancer.

I have a follow-up appointment in October, but really don't want to wait that long. Am in far more discomfort now than before - also feel the need to wee practically constantly (and no, Mr Dr, it's not a urine infection), and when I'm lying down I have back pain and pins & needles in my arms. I'm obsessed with the thought that this is pressing on my back / bladder and will damage me.

I just want this thing removed.

Anyone on here with similar experience? Would love to hear from you.
