No stock of orlistat !!!!

  3. I am travelling from HD1 4NW to HX5 0DQ (Numark Pharmacy in Stainland). Few months ago I rang almost all pharmacies In Huddersfield and there was not a sign of Orlistat. I gave up looking in busy places. I am going straight to this one smile

    does anyone know of any places in Stevenage, that have them? I was in Asda yesterday, and they have said they wont be getting any of the pills in indefinite? Boots have said possible September, so still none the wiser.

  5. Contacted my local councillor who was very interested in this. He conacted the MSP who is charge of Scottish NHS. She raised the question in the scottish parliment and was told by roche that there is a low stock of ingredients and now there is low stock in America too!

    She has assurances from roche that there will be stock by the end of the month... but where have we heard that!

    She will keep me informed... and I will post it.

  6. Hiya everyone, I'm Vanessa near Manchester, my doctor prescribed me them yesterday and no pharmacy has any in stock.

    I'm gutted because I can't lose weight and I've tried and tried. I have polycystic ovary syndrome which makes it even harder. I'm so frustrated myself because now my weight it affecting my liver and my periods.

  7. still no stock in my area !! phoned 8 chemists this morn and 3 said the tabs have been discontinued and wont get hold of them again !!

    i just wish someone would tell the truth so we know where we stand with it all

    ive got an appointment to see the weight loss nurse tonight but cant see the point in getting another prescription just to have it sat at home cos none of the chemists in my area are taking anymore prescriptions cos they have such a back log of them !!

    the news just gets better by the day - NOT !!

    has anyone tried the slim bomb ??

  8. Ive not heard of the slim bomb Amanda is it similar to Orlistat?

    I phoned a chemist in Essex this morning that I have spoken to before and they said although they never know when they will get stocks in..( they order it twice a day) they have been getting small amounts through ..I asked if I could post my prescription to them with a cheque and stamped self addressed packet envelope and they are happy for me to do that.. they said that they have cleared some of their back log and will send it to me ASAP.

    I went to Boots and got my prescription back from them and sent it off to this other pharmacy ..so keeping everything crossed ..will let you know if/when it arrives

    No news from W-s-M as yet and been phoning all the time, it's really frustrating but what else can we do except pass on any info to each other on here. sad

Hi, i'm also new to the website. my doctor gave me a prescription for Orlistat last month as i have been struggling with my weight. i was diagnosed with an under active thyroid and so am on medication for that but still i cant budge the weight. when the doctor gave me this prescription for Orlistat i was overjoyed and couldnt wait to get to the chemist, only to be totally disappointed when the chemist said this wont be available until at least Augus and maybe longert. i have tried ringing around but to no avail. my daughter is getting married in october and i am desperate to get into my wedding outfit and also to feel more healthy. my metabolism doesnt work the way it should - in the meantime does anyone have any solutions on how best to get my metabolism working better - i have tried all kinds of diets but i'm having no joy. looking forward to any replies. Miss desperate......

  17. I went into my chemists on friday and asked if there was any more updats and they told me they don't think it will be back in stores until next year! I wish we knew for definate what is happening sad

  18. My family lives in America and I have asked my mom did she see any at our Local Walmart and she said yes, so I'm gonna ask her to buy me some and send it over. I saw some on the net in America, do you think it's a good idea to purchase over the net or just let my mom get it for me?

  19. @ Toady thats great news! Personally I would let you family get it, at least you know what you are getting is the real thing. If you ordered off the internet it could have absolutly anything in it.

  20. i went to 2 chemists in my area on friday. one chemist had only recieved enough orlistat to cope with what they owed customers so went to another on the off chance that i might get some and low and behold they had one box left. i had only been without orlistat for 3 days. so all i can say is just keep trying the chemists as it does seem that these tablets are slowly starting to come back in stock..... btw im from southend in essex..... :-)
