I have just been prescribed Pizotifen for migraines. I was told to take one ever night before bed for a month. After reading these posts Im now abit cautious. Is it really that bad?

Hi, I've been taking one every night for the last 5 weeks to prevent migraines. In truth my migraines have improved, though not disappeared. But the side affects have not been nice - blurred vision, trouble getting to sleep, increased appetite and huge sugar cravings. I've put on at least a stone in 5 weeks. I'm going back to my GP next week and don't want to continue with them.
But I do think it's worth you trying them, as different people will be affected in different ways. The only side affect that everyone seems to get is weight gain, so if that doesn't bother you too much then they're worth trying.
Good luck.
