Mystery seizures. Can anyone help?

  1. Hi

I was wondering if anyone might have experience of what I have been getting for the last 6 months.

I have suddenly developed these seizures (or episodes) where I lose all the strength in my legs and collapse. I also get other symptoms such as blurred & doubled vision, slurred speech (sometimes I am unable to speak at all), confusion and uncontrollable shaking. I have these episodes at least once a week and in between, I am so lethargic and my legs are in constant pain. I can no longer walk a few hundered yards without having to stop and I'm only 22 years old.

I have had my bloods taken, an MRI scan and an EEG and all have came back inconclusive. They have ruled out epilepsy and MS.

If anyone knows what this could possibly be, please reply as I am desperate for answers.

    Thanks

    Hannah

  2. hi hannah form what you are talking about i have some of these simtoms with my condition which is non epileptic attack disorder. i myself had all the tests and mri scans and alsowent to a hospital in chalfton which deals in epiepsy . they came back inconclusive apart that i had a sharp spike when i had to have sleep deperation (you have to stay awake the whole night then they monitor you to see if they can pick up any diffrent in the pattens of the brain) also i was videoed to see what type of fits they might be this took all together about 5 years untill i was given an answer which resulted in me losing my job . i have no family surpport so i just have to take one day at a time. if i was you i would go back to your doctor and ask if you can be refered to chalfont whic deals with fits not just epilepsy , I have been sent by my doctors to know talk to some one once a week about my fits and also i have to try relaxation . sometimes it helps but not all ways. sorry i cant give you any more help . i know its easy to say but keep your chin up and take each day as it comes . let me know how you get on princess pink x
