my son is 3 and was diagnosed a year ago with nephrotic syndrome he had a biopsy which showed changes that could become serious but at this time he is being treated with prednisilone and mmf. to date i honestly dont know if my son will become critical or grow out of this. all i was told was that it wasnt serious now but could become in the future and a further biopsy would be done in 2 years time. i still do not know what the underlying cause for his nephrotic syndrome is as the doctors and the research is very vague
