  1. My 4 year old daughter was diagnosed with Scarlet Fever on a Wednesday.

She had a very high temperature on Monday and was very unwell ( Finding it difficult to swallow, no appetite, lethargic, unresponsive..even to chocolate) so i took her to my GP and was told she had a red throat and that as it was a viral infection it need not be treated with antibiotics. On Wednesday morning she developed a rash all over her chest, back and hands and was quickly spreading everywhere. I took her back to the GP and he diagnosed Scarlet Fever and prescribed a 10 day course of antibiotics. She is now feeling a lot better and the temperature has gone down and is starting to eat small amounts

  2. We are moving to your surgery, like most other people here with young kids you are the only one I've read so far that had a decent and quick diagnosis, congratulate your doctor! Hope your child is feeling better now.:D
