My 3 year old daughter developed molluscum contagiosum.
After several trips to a homeopath with no real improvement, (to be fair she did not claim to be able to cure it.) I was recommended to try Manuka honey. The fact that my mother bought the wrong honey was pure luck.
I had in fact wanted the eating Manuka honey and she purchased Comvita Manukacare 18+. I applied a pea sized amount of honey in total each evening dabbed onto each lesion.
She did not have that many, maybe ten to fifteen lesions. I could not believe how quickly they cleared up. Within a week to ten days they had completely gone.
My niece also had molluscum, which were treated with Manukacare, these too disappeared.
Two years later, my younger daughter who is now 3 has also developed Molluscum contagiosum. This time I decided to try the edible Manuka honey. I purchased a 15+ jar of honey and applied it every evening before bedtime. It is too sticky to put on during the day. The improvement was slow and if I had persevered they may have cleared up, but after about a week I purchased some more Manukacare. One week on, most of them have disappeared I will continue applying the honey for about another week as some of them were quite large and infected, also she has many more lesions than my first daughter.
This seems to be a quick and reasonably priced cure which can be used for all sorts of things I am currently trying it out on a verruca.
In my experience the honey which must be used for fast results is Comvita manukacare 18+ which can be purchased from Holland and Barrett and costs about £11.95.
