Liver Function Tests

   I have had 3 lots of lft's done this year and 2 have come back abnormal, my GP sent me for a liver ultrasound and they didnt find any problems. I have been getting intermittent pain/strange feelings around the liver area since November 2011.

   I have since gone to another GP at my practice for a second opinion as since November 2011 i have been very tired, not feeling myself at all, had terrible brain fog, terrible lower back pain and muscle aches all over my body, chest pain and acid reflux. I dont even have the strength or energy to lift my one year old son and carry him up to bed sometimes but it has to be done. I have been off work sick since end of January 2012.

   Any way the other GP ordered lots of different blood tests including more lft's to try and find out what is going on with me, i had them done on Tuesday this week(01/05/12) and i got a phone call yesterday morning asking me to come in for an appointment to see the doctor about my lft's next Tuesday(08/05/12).

   Thing is after my other abnormal lft's i didnt get asked to go in and see a doctor so why now? Im really worried that something is wrong with me.

   Anyone have an ideas?

   it sound to me it may be gilberts syndrome i was diagnosed with it a few year ago, it took several doctors before one of the doctors picked up on it and sent off a blood test for gilberts. i was going for lft's every 2 week for around 6 months. it may be worht you checking this website out http://www.gilbertssyndrome.com it will give you more info on gilberts hope this helps
