I have been shortsighted since I was 16. Original prescription was -4.00 and -3.75 other eye. I had PRK (laser surgery) in 2001 which left me with 20/20 vision and no need to wear glasses. Two weeks ago I noticed a deterioration in my eyesight and after a visit to the opticians need to start wearing glasses again. Albeit mild compared to before -.50. So the effects of lasery surgery are not permanent. But I have been pleased with the results for the last 8 years. :?
