keeping it in the day

  1. Hi all, stumbled across this site researching the medication been given...

Have read alot of the previous posts, have serveral concerns, however, i feel so low currently, i shall keep it in the day, and see how it goes,am now on my second week and have been up'd from 50 to 100..

The hell im in currently  im going to trust these pills lift me.

I seem to read alot of negative things on here, does anyone have possitive experiences?

  2. Hi, I have found these pills to help me alot with no negative side effects. I have been on them for nearly 5 months and I feel alot better for it. I suffered with general anxiety and thought nothing would work. But these do, they are quite an expensive tablet so the side effects are limited because they have been worked on.

I did find after 13 weeks my anxiety came back, so I increased to 100mg, but after 7 days I found them too strong and went back down to 50mg and I am good on these again.

I hope you stick with these and you will see they will help, I dont even notice I am taking them now, it will take at least 1 month for you to feel the full effect, and I understand there may be some inpatience involved here as will all things, but stick it out and you will see, there are alot of success stories on here about these, I check this site regulary and I see more posts about other medications and not so much about Sertraline, which has to be a good sign.

Try to read the positive ones and dont scare yourself with the bads ones.

If you want to write anything or want some advice, Ill be happy to help where I can.

  3. Hi,

I have been taking Sertraline for about 5 months and I can honestly say that they have changed my life.

I have suffered from depression for most of my life... I was first diagnosed at 16... and throughout this time I have been prescribed many varied tablets, from sleeping tablets to a myriad of antidepressants.

All have caused unwanted and unplesant side effects... prozac caused me to sprial out of control and self harm.

The first week taking sertraline I did suffer from nausea but as I had been warned that this might happen I was not too concerned... it did go away and has not returned at all... I started on 50mg which was increased to 100mg after a month... I am now on 150mg as I was still having odd bad days... nothing is a magic cure but this is by far the most positive step I have taken in the fight against my depression.

Just remember that not every drug suits everyone and persevere as these things take time to work... I do hope that you feel better and you see the sunshine again!! xx
