joint pain/ co codamol

   Hi , ive been taking co codamol 30/500 since oct 2009, as i slipped down the stairs and did my back in. i just used to take them when i was in pain, but now i find im taking 4 about lunchtime and 4 before i go to bed, if not i start feeling ill.

   i did stop taking them for a couple of days and felt so ill, i wish the doc had prescribed me something else now.

   Anyway, the last few days the pain in my knees is getting unbearable, ive always had a problem with my left knee in cold weather, but now its both knees, constantly. do you think that the joint pain had anything to do with the co codamol or something else, ive read up on them and cant find anything about joint pain.

   Rachel you really shouldnt be taking 4 at a time thats a double max dose and at 30/500 the highest does possible

   talk to your doctor to see if there is something else you can take co codamol works quite well for my dad for his pains but doesnt help me very well

   so i took some co dydramol much smaller dose than you 30`s and they work for me quite well

   if you take 8 co codamol for a short while you will be addicited and be very unwell when you come off of them and they will kill you over time at that dose it wont take that long either take care and TALK TO YOR DOCTOR xxx

   Thanks, i decided that night to stop taking them, and havent taken one since, i thought id be really ill, but luckily i wasnt, just tired for days and a bit fluey.
