   has anyone else experience severe cough with this medication?

   I don't know if it is approvel, but I have had a persistent cough for the past couple of weeks and my dosage was doubled from 150mg about 7 weeks ago.

   Hi,

   I was put on Irbesartin a few years ago and tried to tell the consultant that one of the side effects was a persistant cough and that I couldn't risk it. But she persuaded me to try a small dose. I dont think I had any more coughing from that than I usually do. But then I developed low blood pressure and am on half a tablet, which is supposed to help protect the kidneys.
