I took methotrexate for 12 years and it completely changed my life as far as my rheumatiod arthritis was concerned, I went from being in lots of pain, to very little, what I didn't know was that it causes osteoporis, I was also diagnosed with asthma last year because of the methotrexate, I am now 32 on no medication for my arthritis as I don't trust it and have my fourth bone break in four years and now have to rely on tablets to build bones! my advice is use it if you must but only for a short while. I wish I'd have known how thin my bones would become before I started taking them, at this age, I don't think they are worth the risk! sad
