I have tried taking 80mg Valsartan 3 times as my Doctor insists that there are virtually no side effects and it must be something else. Each time, after approx 6 weeks, I have become dizzy and so breathless that I had to stop at the top of a flight of stairs. I also experienced a heavy feeling in my arms and chest. I have now been taking 40mg for 2 months, at my doctors insistence, and I feel OK so far. I have now also been given bisoprolol for the last week as I take such a small dose of Valsartan.
