I HAVE BEEN ON NORETHISERONE FOR 8 MONTHS.

   I AM 38 YEARS OLD, WITH 3 BIG FIBROIDS, 8 MONTHS AGO MY LIFE CHANGE FOR THE WORSE, I WOULD NOT STOP BLEEDING, MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON NORETHISERONE, BUT I STILL HAD BLEED OUTS, SO DOCTOR DID TEST AND I HAVE FIBOIDS, BUT WITH THE TEST ALSO SAID I HAVE LIVER DISEASE AND THE BLEEDING IS MAKING IT WORSE. THE DOCTOR SAY I CANT HAVE A HYSTERECTOMY BECAUSE I WOULD DIE BECAUSE I HAVE LIVER DISEASE SO HAVE BEEN ASK TO HAVE FIBROID EMBOLISATION(BLOCKING THE ARTERIES) AWAKE. MY HEAD IS ALL OVER THE PLACE, JUST LAST WEEK I HAD LIVER BIOPSY AND I AM AT THE DOCTOR OR HOSPITAL ALL THE TIME, AND WITH ALL OF THIS I HAVE TO SAY TO HUSBAND AND CHILDREN I AM FINE, WHEN I AM NOT BECAUSE THEY CANT COPE WITH IT.

   Hi Bunnytown,

   I know how it feels, part of it anyway. Two years ago I was bleeding constantly for six months after my first smear test. The doctors at the hospital told me it was normal. It got so bad I had to have a blood transfusion after going to a different hospital and them telling me i was being admitted. I was given norethisterone to stop the bleeding and have been on it since because they said the only other solution was hysterectomy (31 at the time). I know part of what you are going through but I didnt have the liver biopsy issue to deal with like you. If you need an ear please contact me x

   HI CHARCOAL, THANK YOU FOR YOUR MESSAGE. YOU SOUND LIKE YOU ARE HAVING A HARD TIME YOURSELF. I HAVE A HOSPITAL APPOINTMENT TOMORROW, TO TALK ABOUT THE FIBROID EMBOLISATION PROCEDURE, MY HUSBAND WANTS ME TO HAVE IT DONE WITHOUT TALKING WITH THEM, I SAID NO, I NEED TO KNOW WANT I AM GOING THOUGH.
