i can remember telling my mum i had a sore leg,she said its growing pains.

then i went out with my friends and it got worse and worse, the next thing i collapsed in the hall way and my dad picked me up and the doctor came out,i remember him calling for an ambulance,i was so scared and in a lot of pain.

i was in hospital for about 5 weeks, that is when i found out i was allergic to penicillan, the injections where very very sore.

i was put in traction for what seemed ages to me.

i had it in my hip and was taken to theatre eventually to drain the fluid.

that was in 1969. now i am 52 have 2 children and 3 grandchildren one on the way.i had a full hip replacement in 2000.and still no one told me i had sceptic arthritis.i had to go for a medical in may and that is when i found out i was gobsmacked i am so glad i know what i had after all this time, all my parents where told is i had fluid in the hip bone.now i know exactly what happened to me every thing i read is what i went through.i am back at work 9 years now after my replacement still take antiinflammatries and pain killers but feel a lot better, somedays i ache but that is nothing compared to the bad bad pain i was in.
