I came out of a psychiatric hospital 2 weeks ago after a 3 week stay. I had been on citalopram (for 9 years) and that was swapped out to Mirtazapine. I have been at home on 30mg. I am almost constantly dizzy, but I am not sure if this is due to the meds or anxiety. I also feel 'doped up', and unlike other descriptions here, have very vivid nightmares unless I also take Zopiclone to put me out. I crave food all the time, (but perversely also feel uncomfortably full) and nothing seems to satisfy, I am gaining weight. In common with others I have restless legs at night, but I think the Zopiclone is helping stop that. I had a psychiatric review today, and the Doc said it is very early days to make any decisions regarding the mirtazapine. So I will (if I am still here!) in another 6 weeks come back and share my experiences again to see if anything has changed. I must impress on everyone that reads this that I am severely ill and still under observation, so please bear that in mind as you read this. Hope all of you are managing to cope a little better, and, hey, a sex drive? Whats that?:wink:
