  1. I am taking prednisolone for my asthma and having felt like I have been breathing in fluff for the last month I finally feel fantastic. I suffer with joint problems also and sleep has been terrible with the pain inmy hips but the last 48 hours since I started the prednisolone I seem to have less pain and more sleep. I was not given these for my joints but they seem to have made an all round improvement. I have had the drug for ashtma in the past a short course and it has always been very effective with no side effects at all and I wish I could feel all the time like I do when on the steroids!!! I would never however want to be on prolonged courses of these tablets as I think the weight gain from them is bad and I hate the thought of being over weight so use them wisely.:magic:

  2. I have the same situation & yes the pain free time while taking prednisolone is a wonderful bonus. It makes a great space when recovering from a bad chest infection but the long term side effects negate the short term benefits. However there is no drug that shifts a bad chest infection quicker. Over the years I have come to know the right point to start a course & my doctor trusts me to have a small supply & use it responsibly. Best of health to you.:D
