  1. I am 39 years old and had urticaria for four years. I have had ANA test in 2002 after a doctor told me I had Lupus, which came back negative. I was then prescribed cetirizine which I stoped taking two years ago and just battled through and the symptoms did became less severe. I am now off work with a severe bout and do not know if this is a result of a virus or if I do indeed have Lupus and need re-testing. Symptoms often include a flu like feeling and exhaustion and inside my head often feels affected when severe with a sensation of irritation and headache. Does anyone else get these other symptoms?

  2. I hope you are feeling better by now. I was diagnosed with chronic urticaria and fought it for about a year and a half. Every day!!! I experienced your same symptoms especially on my worst break outs. I just thought that because the hives were so hot and feverish that it would make me run a fever and feel achy (like you feel when you have the flu). I had several test run that would come back normal--finally saw md/nd that found my throid tests were abnormal. Ever since I started on meds for thyroid I have been much better!! Good Luck and hope you are feeling better.
