Hi everyone.
I'm 23 years old and for the past 18-24 months I'm always tired, feeling very low and my sex drive has disappeared also I’ve been piling on the pounds (3 stone) and struggling to lose it.
After many attempts to lose weight and get my mood up i was advised to visit the doctors. I had a appointment this morning, i was pretty anxious about going as I really don't like opening up to people.
I explain all my symptoms to the doctors and asked if my thyroid could be check as two years ago I was checked but the results came back as "normal". She asked me a series of questions, weighed and examined me and put me in for some blood tests. I was very impressed by the doctor’s attitude; there was no explanation of what my symptoms were caused by. All I got was a lecture on diet and exercise and that GP's don't hand out weight loss medication willy nilly! I wasn't there for my weight alone but she obviously didn't listen!
Anyway my bloods should be back in two weeks time...is anyone in the same position as me? Also does anyone have any advise for when I get my results?
