Hi i had HSP when i was about 8yrs old and it lasted about 6-8 weeks, it was a terrible experience. My ankles and knees where all swollen up and i could not walk. I went to the Manor Hospital and they just said to go home and rest it they did not have a clue what it was or what to do. My cousins aunty luckily was a nurse had a look and she knew that it was a bad case of HSP so she took me to BCH (Birmingham Childrens Hospital) and they knew what it was and said it was the worst case of HSP they had ever seen! and they told me to take all these tablets and it went after a couple of weeks. But now at the age of 14 i still have the aches and pains in my knees 24/7 i hate it. But I went back to the Manor Hospital and they say it is something to do with something else! Which i think it is to do with this HSP.
