I am 53 had a total ceramic on ceramic hip replacement in August 2010. Before my op everybody I spoke to seemed to know somebody who'd had it done and was telling me what a great difference it would make to my life. I have done all the physio exercises I was given every day as I was told and do plenty of walking but 4 and a half months on I still have pain and a great deal of stiffness in the new joint and, to be honest, it feels no better than before I had the op. Am I doing something wrong, is there likely to be a problem or am I just being impatient?
