At least it is not just me - I am right handed and my left shoulder \"froze\" in Sept 06. It was fully recovered by Dec 07 only to find in Feb 08 the right one started! True I am in the appropriate age group, but not diabetic and I go to the gym regularly so I could not understand \"why me\" however on reading the other comments I realise that, oddly, just sitting in one position in front of a computer all day (with right arm at an odd angle on the mouse) is what seems to have done the damage. At least this time I know what it is and just to let fellow suffers know - DO KEEP UP THE EXERCISES - it really is worth it because if you don't you can be living with a virtually unusable arm for a long time. If you maintain the mobility you have while it is in the frozen stage it will repay you in the long run. GOOD LUCK (I too am looking forward to a decent night's sleep again)

Well to catch up I have had my MUA for frozen shoulder. Immediately after I woke up I was in agony! So, had a few painkillers and then some more. Second day, felt a lot better almost pain free. Third day anaesthetic had completely worn off and my shoulder began to ache again, so more pain killers and a visit to physio in between.
To confirm the exercises do help and I have even been hanging up curtains! A week later a lot lot better. My arm can be raised a lot higher than before and I am not on the pain killers as I decided I didn't want to be bunged up anymore! The pain is subsiding with every day. I can't praise physio enough and hanging up my curtains!
In my opinion it is definetly worth getting MUA done. I still have a torn rotaor cuff, but for now we shall just see how it goes for a few months and get back the 8 months I lost being in constant pain.
