I've been taking Sertraline for anxiety for just over a week and I'm not sure whether to give it up. I had quite a bad reaction at first with nausea/diarrhea which has subsided, but it has killed my libido and being in a relationship I don't know if this is a drug that I can take in the long run if this is going to continue. Also the medication leaflet doesn't mention that you shouldn't drink while taking it, but when I had alcohol for the first time while taking it it made me feel very strange. I also have had trouble sleeping and am feeling very tired, but to be honest I've never been a great sleeper so I don't know if that's the Setraline or not. I wouldn't say I feel depressed on the medication, but I don't seem to have the motivation to get anything done. I'm in the last stretch of my university degree and I really need to be on something that will help me function productively.
Do you think it's necessary to reduce the dosage gradually even though I've only been on it for a short time?
