Corrective lenses for good eye of patient with Amblyopia

  1. Hi, my name is Dana.

I have amblyopia in my right eye which was not diagnosed until it was too late for corrective measures. So, the image my brain sees is the image my left eye ( good eye) sees. I am 44 years old and need corrective lenses for reading and close up work in my left eye (good eye). I purchased protective progressive lenses but they are not working for me. Because the middle range of the glasses is so narrow on the progressives, I am finding this very limiting since I only use the left eye to see.

Can anyone recommend what type of glasses I should buy. I want to protect my good eye all the time and also be able have corrective lenses which allow me to see up close for reading, preparing food, etc.

    Thanks!

  2. Don't mess about buying glasses , go to a good optician and get some professional advice. I have the same as you and you really need someone who knows what they are doing

    good luck.

    Jenny
