  1. Hi there I am a mother of two beautiful girls I have epilepsy which I have had for 20 years, under controlish, but last july out of the blue I went into status epilepticus and ended up in ITU, felt realy realy awful as not had siezure in twenty years, well since then I have been in hospital twice in 15 months with siezures, my poor girls, I changed my consultant as I found him to be not very understanding I think he thought it was in my head!! but now i am waiting for a consultant appointment but I am signed off work until December - been off work since September I dont know what to do?? My platletts are low due to medication and work may be sacking me if I cant get under control!

Anyone in the same boat I would love to hear from anyone with similar problems! I feel so alone at the moment!

  2. Me too honey.Ihad petimal fits everyday. Then after the birth of my first son I had my first grandmal fit followed by another 2 weeks later. Then never had a grandmal one for 8yrs then went status too...I still have the petimal ones every day I have never managed to go a day without them But recently was given some exciting news..Check out my post about Big news for uncontrolled epilepsy..Unfortunatly I was forced to give up work..My world fell apart.People think everyone unemployed wants to be unemployed Soooooo not true...A good consultant is sooo important if yours dosnt seam to understand how important this is or be willing to try other things then change him hon..It took me till now and im 43 to find one thats willing to look at the bigger picture..so hang on in there and rem there only human beings not god so keep going till you get the answers or help that you need xxx
