Children & pizotifen + cyclical vomiting

  1.

Has any one had children on this medication and espicially if it is for cyclical vomiting ?

My 6 yr old daughter has only been on it for 4 weeks and she has turned into a demon ?!!! :x

She is extremely aggresive over emotional and will cry for anything she WILL NOT sleep at night so is extremely tired, she has a voracious appetite. She is on the smallest dose aswell.

My daughter has NEVER had migraines but vomits every 6-8 weeks and has to be admitted to hospital but on a drip and anti nausea medication

    any advice or similar

    thanks

  3. Hi,

My son is 8 years old and takes Pizotifan for Cyclic Vomiting. He started on a low dose in September with no side effects, but that didn't control the episodes so from December, now takes two tablets a day.

I have just put in a search for side effects as since Christmas the rages he gets into are really worrying us. He will hit out, kick, scream - whether at home or in public. he is always so remorseful afterwards, but says he cannot control it.

He has 'cycled' every 3 weeks for the last two years, and on this current dose, has just gone 9 weeks without an episode, but i am beginning to wonder at what cost?

I'm obviously over the moon that the tablets seem to be working, but I want my gentle loving little boy back too.

Are the tablets keeping your little girl well, or is it too early to say? xx
