Bendroflumethiazide and Gout

   I have taken Bendro for 2 months and experienced a drop in BP and no side effects (I think!!). I have also experienced 2 bouts of gout for the first time in my life. I know you shouldn't take Bendro if you suffer from Gout but my doc says not to worry...Appreciate anyone's comments please.

   Hi Brummie,

   My husband takes bendor to and 2 years ago for the first time suffered gout. After suffering every couple of months the GP has now put him on Allupurinol to stop the gout and he will have to take this for the rest of his life. He has not been taken off the Bendro.

   I have just been taken off bendro due to gout(bad attack about once or twice a year0 Put on ramopril only side effect seems to be a slight stoned feeling.No side effects from bendro apart from gout.The doc I spoke to seemed quite concerned I was still taking bendro and took me off it straight away
