Hi all, I ruptured my AT on Monday evening 23rd July 07 playing badminton for the first time in years in an attempt to to start to lose a little weight... Im 46 years of age and in my wifes words probably acting as though I was 21 again!!! The web site does have some comforts but then again lets wait and see?? Im told because of my age they will treat me conservatively, OK... In a cast for 8 weeks and removed every two weeks to reset the foot, OK... The trouble is, I can put up with not playing sport again following rehab but my lifes to busy now... Will I get away with the following?? A proposed return to work for light duties on August 1st 07? (Doctors note presently for 6 weeks) Doing DIY around the house which were desperate to progress with ie painting for example (leightweight work only).... How active can I be in the early stages even though im in pain without the pain killers. Will the consultant inform me of my progress next visit ie, if the healing process has begun or could it deteriate?? 9I fear the latter) This period of inabilility will probably haunt me as it could not of come at a worst time of my life and to wrap it all up we will be int the USA 11 weeks from now!!! Can anyone offer any comfort or not as the case may be... Mike :D
